The Temple of the Soul, Not Yet Built

Let's build our own corner, a compass for the soul.

"Everyone needs a place of refuge, a place to think, a place to be themselves." - Virginia Woolf

Create a personal space for yourself at home or wherever you cherish, to remind yourself of your own inner temple of the soul. In that place, establish your own operating system, with your own value system, philosophies to pursue and contemplate, and there let your personal energy center reside. This way, you won't forget yourself and your path due to arguments about right and wrong or suffering. And even if you get lost and wander far, we will always have a compass to return to.

When I was little, going to the temple every week was always a sacred place that helped me feel a sense of peace, return to myself, and ensure I was on the right track. I recited repentance prayers to remind myself of the mistakes I had unintentionally made and to avoid repeating them. I also focused on dedicating merit to those I loved who might be going astray. I had a special corner for practicing singing, decorated with the instruments I loved. Later, this could be listening to podcasts daily or lighting incense daily. Perhaps you could try writing down your goals on sticky notes to keep yourself aligned with your initial objectives and intentions.

This form, or another, are rituals that help us maintain a place to return to.

When a person gains control of their own life, their senses will be opened, and true creations will be produced.
