For one who are going through a storm of emotional turmoil..
From time to time, internal storms are bound to arise, much like the vast ocean experiences large waves after many smaller ones, due to accumulation. These emotional tempests gather from the build-up of procrastination, resistance to change, or unforeseen events. The storms of chaos and fear arrive to reshape and establish a new system of thought.
Clearly, we cannot control the storm, nor do we need to. What we must do is find a safe haven. Just as trees have roots that dig deep into the earth, we also have roots of energy located in the lower abdomen chakra (Dan Dien).

Dan Dien Breathing: A Sanctuary of Body & Soul
Practicing Dan Dien breathing is a simple yet highly beneficial meditation and wellness technique that offers numerous advantages for overall health. This exercise focuses on regulating the breath, helping to stimulate the Dan Dien – considered the body's "storehouse of essence" and core energy source. Here's how to practice:
Inhale: Slowly and deeply through your nose, feeling the breath gently descend to your lower abdomen. At this point, your abdomen will naturally expand like a balloon.
Hold your breath: Maintain this state for a few seconds, fully focusing on the sensation of "qi" gathering and spreading in your lower abdomen.
Exhale: Gradually and gently through your mouth, naturally contracting your abdomen until you feel all the air has left your body.
Repeat: Perform this process of inhaling, holding, and exhaling continuously for 10 to 20 times during each practice session.
Finding Meaning in the Eye of the Storm
Once you've established a habit of practicing Dan Dien breathing, you will naturally gain better control whenever you face negative emotions and fear. Gradually, you will reach a state of calmness, no longer afraid even when you are in the eye of your own internal storm. From there, you will naturally discern the deeper meaning of these "storms" and the messages they are trying to send to your body.
An important piece of advice is that during the storm, avoid overthinking or letting emotions dominate. These two elements are like weak branches; if you try to cling to them for shelter, you will become weak and easily affected, even "broken." Instead, find your solid roots in Dan Dien, where inner peace and strength are always ready to protect you.
